TCAP Testing Window Update

Dear Schilling Farms Elementary Families,

Due to instructional disruptions from winter storms across the state, the TN Department of Education has extended the Spring 2026 TCAP testing window. This adjustment provides an additional week of classroom instruction while still ensuring results are returned in time for 3rd-grade ELA retakes.

Testing was originally scheduled to begin on Monday, April 13. The new district testing window appears below:

  • Grades 2–5: April 20 – May 6

A finalized schedule will be sent in the very near future, but we wanted to make you aware so that you can plan accordingly. 

To support your child during testing, please ensure they:

  • Arrive at school on time
  • Get a good night’s rest
  • Eat a healthy breakfast
  • Avoid scheduling appointments during the testing window whenever possible
